Introduction to Backcountry Camping

Do any of these sound like you?
-you've wondered about camping but have been too nervous to take the plunge
-you've been car camping, or have camped in a trailer or yurt and want to challenge yourself
-you love camping but don't want to go alone
-you love camping and want to learn new skills, or practise your skills in a supervised environment
-the thought of camping where you may not see any other people for days is your idea of heaven....

...then you may want to learn how to camp in the backcountry where you hike or paddle to a campsite that is not accessible by vehicle.

A variety of packages are available for you and include the following:
-2 nights of camping
-shared equipment, such as kitchen, tarp, water treatment, fuel, fire tending, food storage, etc.
-an experience camping trip leader for the duration of the trip
-hand's on instruction and practise of your camping skills

Some packages may also include, depending on your needs, abilities, location and group:
-parking/park entry fees
-,canoe and/or kayak rentals
-food
-some personal equipment such as tents, packs, sleeping pads, etc. are available in limited quantities

*Please note there is a mandatory pre-meeting approximately 1-2 weeks prior to the trip. This meeting may be in person or virtual.

Custom trips may be booked for groups of up to 5 people, or you can join a group trip. Watch social media channels and here for dates when they are released.
